When the website of GGB is accessed, the servers of GGB automatically store certain data of the accessing system. 1.5.2.4 Google Doubleclick
With your consent present, our website may use DoubleClick, an online marketing tool provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House Barrow Street Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). However, being a global network, Google may transfer your data to third countries, especially to the USA. Google is certified under the Transatlantic Data Privacy Framework, which results in an adequate level of data protection. Additionally, we have entered an adequate data protection contract with Google to have the required instrument for data privacy present.
DoubleClick uses Cookies to place ads of relevance for the user, to improve reports on the performance of advertising campaigns and to avoid that users are presented ads repeatedly. Google uses a cookie-ID to identify which ads have been placed in which browser to prevent multiple repetitions. Additionally, Google may track so-called conversions which are related to ads. This means that Google can identify whether a user has interacted with an ad and if such interaction resulted in buying the respectively advertised item. As per Google, DoubleClick-cookies do not process personal information.

When you are visiting our presence on thomasnet, data about your interactions with thomasnet.com and the profile we have there is collected. Such may contain your IP-address as well as the frequency of browsing, use of the website functions and your surfing behavior.

When you activate a YouTube-video on our pages, your browser establishes a direct connection with the YouTube servers. We are active on social media, particularly on YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter.
On our website you will find links to the social media services of LinkedIn, X (formerly: and YouTube. You can identify links to the websites of social media services by the respective company icon. If you follow these links, you will reach GGB´s corporate presence on the respective social media service. When you click on a link to a social media service, a connection is established to the servers of the social media service. 2. STORAGE PERIOD (PERSONAL DATA IN GENERAL)
Usage data will be stored for a period of 18 months. The data outlined above will otherwise be erased once it is no longer required for the described purposes, provided statutory provisions do not stipulate a longer retention period. This means, that your data is usually retained until applicable retention periods have expired. Such retention may last for e.g. 6 months in case of a job application with our German branch and up to 10 years in regard of applying statutory retention in regard of tax law.

GGB processes in particular the following categories of personal data:
- Contact information, in particular salutation, first and last name, e-mail address, your motivation to apply and a CV.
- Further information you may provide on a voluntary basis, such as, e.g., qualification-related information, copies of reports and certificates you may upload, etc.
- photos attached to the application, if any.
In principle, GGB collects these data directly from you. In singular cases GGB receives personal data about you from third parties such as e.g. staffing agencies we may cooperate with.
GGB processes this data if and to the extent required for carrying out the application and recruitment process. The legal basis for this is the requirement for a decision on whether a labour-contract is initiated,
If you apply to a specific vacancy, only the company specified therein receives your data. If you send us an unsolicited application, we will transfer your data to any GGB-Group-company which may find your profile suitable to staff a current vacancy, in any case we ensure, that only the persons and functions objectively requiring your data for the purposes mentioned may access your data.
Once the recruiting process has been completed your data will be retained for a maximum period of 6 months for purposes evidence for the due handling of your data as per the underlying legal requirements and will then be erased or anonymised.

GGB processes the following categories of personal data in regard to our business-relationship, in particular when exchanging business cards, in letter heads or signatures in business communication:

Generally, GGB collects these Data directly from you, as you submit them to us. The Data specified above will be erased as soon as it is no longer required for the described purposes or if legal provisions do not require further retention. Usually, your data is deleted from our systems, as soon as we become aware that you have left our partners´ business, if not a further retention is required for reasons of law.
